Welcome to Virgin Gorda! It is a tropical island paradise and that means Mother Nature is in full swing and everywhere. We have very diverse flora and fauna. Our Dry Caribbean Forest is full of turpentine trees, wild frangipani, tyre palm (the only native palm tree), century plants, turk’s head cacti, and dog caper to name a few. After a good period of rain, the island is lush and green and the flowering plants thrive. We’ve never had a complaint about our flora. The fauna, on the other hand, can be a topic of much discussion. In particular, the mosquitoes.
